Today we began with devotions about gaining friendship by being kind, patient and respectful. We then helped set up band for the concert tonight!! I'm excited to see the program! I hope you are too!! Here is what we did in class/homework for tonight.
Bible: Jesus' teaching and how the Pharisees reacted towards him. --Questions are due tomorrow.
We began to learn a new Bible memory verse today. It is Philippians 4:12-13.
Math: 7th grade is learning about conversions and must complete page 118 #1-9, 1-6, 1-12.
8th grade is learning about algebra and must complete pages 130-131 #1-23.
Civics: We worked on a study guide for our test on Thursday. We will have a review tomorrow in class.
Science: We learned about friction and followed this with some questions that are due tomorrow.
We did a lab on friction as well. They took some books, that I had placed in a bag, and attached a rubber band to them. They then tested the friction that different surfaces have. They pulled the books across their desk, a wet desk, over cylinders, cork, sand paper, rubber and card board. They recorded the amount of friction by how far the rubber band stretched as they pulled the books across the surface. It was fun and I heard a lot of collaborating!
Just a couple reminders: Money/permission for bowling is due tomorrow Wednesday, December 14. Hot lunch money is also due tomorrow. Also, the student need to turn in their Christmas Shoppe envelope.
Have a good afternoon and I'll see you tonight at the concert!!
